Each spring the loveliest of flowers pops in for a quick visit. My grandmother had several deep red peony plants but my favorite kind is the pretty pink peony. I don't have any of these plants of my own, so I had to get a photo from iStockPhoto. I just had to post this because this particular flower is so beautiful. Do you have Peonies at your house? Simple beauty is always a treat! Think happy pretty thoughts today!
Stay tuned in because I pick up my Amy Butler quilt from the quilter this weekend. I can't wait to share the completed project with you. Happy Thursday! Wendi

Leapin' Lizards and Cactus Blooms
This past week I spent a few days riding my bicycle with friends in Arizona. Oro Valley is a wonderful place! To my surprise, many of the cactus plants were in bloom. I am so excited to share some of the snapshots with you. I am so grateful for such a wonderful experience and look forward to next year's bike trip.

Tulips and Blossoms
Spring at my house always comes with a little color. The pink crab apple blossoms are my favorite. I also have a few tulips poking up through the rocks showcasing vibrant shades yellow, orange, and pink.

Playing with Pinks
Easter is such a marvelous and miraculous holiday! I hope your soul is soaking up the beauty of the upcoming week. I have so much to rejoice over and it just has me in a wonderful and thankful mood.
With all the sunshine and with chocolate egg treats just beckoning to be sampled, I can't help but want to pull out some of my vintage pinks and play around with creating an interesting post for you, my happy blog friends. You may recognize many of the pieces you see here today but the fun is in rearranging them and creating something sweet. Speaking of sweet, I'm gonna have to break down and buy me some chocolate covered marshmallows, preferably in the shape of a rabbit head (you know eating the ears first is best approach!)

Amy Butler Quilt and Pillow Shams
Amy Butler is running a contest, asking for photos of your stash of her fabric. Well, I just used up my entire stash of all her fabrics that I have been collecting over the years. Last week I finished the quilt top that I was working on and it is scheduled to be quilted the first of April. I laid it out on the bed this morning to capture some photos and wouldn't you know it, Sophie Kitty had to get in on the action. The quilt pattern is one that I purchased from Cluck Cluck Sew called Easy Bake. I didn't do any sort of repeat pattern with the colors, I just sewed together what felt right. I love Amy Butler prints and I will be thrilled to put this latest quilt out on my bed. I hope you like the quilt too!

Today I'm LINKing up with "Show Off Your Cottage Monday" with House in Roses and Cherish Handmade Treasures.

Spring Comes On Slow In Colorado
I've noticed lots of posts out there in blogland showcasing lovely spring flowers but in Colorado, spring is very non-committal. The weather is warming up but I'm not yet convinced that the snow is gone for the year. I miss posting to my blog but I'm here; reading all of your blogs, waiting for inspiration to take hold. In the mean-time, I hope you are enjoying the Coming On Of Spring where you are.
