Vintage Tea Strainers (I Think)

If you like vintage, chances are you don't mind a hot cup of tea. Today, I am featuring some very special pieces from my enamelware collection. I found these two simple tea accessories at a summer antique show in Longmont, Colorado.

At least, I think these are tea strainers. Sometimes I pick up items just because they catch my eye or just because I think they are pretty. I knew I wanted these two treats as soon as I saw them.

Now the only question is what flavor of tea shall we have today?

Velvet Petals Unfold on PhoGARDENtog

It is the photos that I think many of us enjoy the most about this wonderful world of blogging. Today I want to introduce you to a new blog, PhoGARDENtog that gets us up-close and personal with one of our favorite topics, FLOWERS.

PhoGARDENtog's creator, Mike (who is also my friend), shows us the most intricate beauty of his specimens, revealing the often unseen details of each precious petal and stem frozen in time by his camera's macro lens. What is captured in a photograph in single moment can then be enjoyed in an image that lives on long after the each petal has fallen away.

The part that makes this artist's story even more enchanting is that Mike's mother was the Garden Editor for the Dallas Times Herald for 25 years. His Mission is "To help followers of his blog see, recognize, and appreciate the beauty of horticulture and nature by providing exceptional quality garden photographs and supporting information."

So, please stop by Mike's digital garden where you will find yourself delighted by the colors, shapes and undeniable beauty of every image. PhoGARDENtog!

Hallelujah Sunday No 6. - A Father's Love

Today I'm celebrating my FATHER who is the kindest and strongest man I know. His love is worth celebrating because it has encircled me though every season of my life. He was quite young when I was born but somehow through God's unending grace my father's love is the ROCK that our family was built upon.

At times it was his prayers that I pleaded with God to answer knowing that his faith was stronger than mine. Through the years his shoulders have borne both the deepest sorrows and the greatest joys that are all part of the blessed life that we journey through.

I am so thankful for the Spirit of Christ that lives and abides within his heart and for the example of mercy and grace which he demonstrates EVERY day to those who love him. Happy Father's Day DADDY!

Ephesians 2:4-10
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Pretty In Pink - "Blushing" Rare Pink Enamelware

Pink is my FAVORITE color, so you can imagine how excited I was to find pink enamelware. Most of my pink pieces were found through different sales on EBAY. I've had my pink pieces for a few years now and I am so excited to feature these blushing coffee pots to introduce a new category on The Blog Guidebook. I am currently listed under Vintage and White but, really... PINK can be found in almost every post of mine so I asked the creators of the directory if they would be willing to create a new category. If you are a pink fanatic like me, you might consider listing your blog under this new PRETTY IN PINK category.

The Blog Guidebook has been such a wonderful resource for me as a newbie blogger. Their tutorials are quite easy to follow and by using their directions I have been able to add interesting items to my blog.

Do you like the color pink like me? What items in your home or garden are blushing this spring?

Thank you so much Sarah and Lyndsay of The Blog Guidebook for Spotlighting SoulDelights! It was so good of you to stop by and I hope you visit again.

Psalm 23:6
Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

Hallelejuh Sunday No. 5 - Estes Park Wool Market

Psalm 24:1
THE EARTH is the Lord's, and the fullness of it, the world and they who dwell in it.

Today I visited a very wonderful event in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. As you know, I love working with all my woolly sheep friends at Ewe Bet Ranch but this weekend I made a few new friends at the 21st annual Estes Park Wool Market! All photos posted here are from my visit today!

Psalm 24 1-3
THE EARTH is the Lord's, and the fullness of it, the world and they who dwell in it.
2For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the currents and the rivers.
3Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place?
4He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Happy Hallelujah Sunday! I hope you have a very blessed and woolly day!

Hallelujah Sunday No. 4 - The Joy of the Whole Earth

Psalm 48
1 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised
In the city of our God,

In His holy mountain.
 2 Beautiful in elevation,
The joy of the whole earth,

Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north,
The city of the great King.
 3 God
is in her palaces;
He is known as her refuge.

In the 80's we sang a song in church from this portion of scripture; It was my mother's favorite! I still sing it and my home is filled with the wonder and presence of the Lord! The WORD says that He inhabits the praises of his people. Happy Hallelujah Sunday!

Note: The photos are from a Mixed Use Project in Denver which I visited yesterday. I just thought the flowers and fountain were wonderful!
